La Habana, 27 oct (ACN) El ministro cubano de Relaciones Exteriores Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla aseguró hoy en su perfil de la red social Twitter que la esencia del legado del Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro quedará honrada con la entrada en vigor en 2021 del Tratado de Prohibición de Armas Nucleares.
El canciller recordó el quehacer comprometido de Fidel durante años en función del desarme nuclear y de la utilización de esa fuente de energía solo con fines pacíficos y para el desarrollo de los pueblos.
Con la entrada en vigor el 22 de enero de 2021 del Tratado Prohibición de Armas Nucleares se honra el pensamiento humanista del Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro, luchador incansable por el desarme nuclear. Estas armas son inhumanas, inmorales, éticamente indefendibles e ilegales, escribió Rodríguez Parrilla.
La Organización de Naciones Unidas anunció en la noche del sábado que el Tratado de Prohibición de las Armas Nucleares entrará en vigor el 22 de enero de 2021, 90 días tras la ratificación de su texto por parte del gobierno de Honduras, el estado número 50 en hacerlo.
Así culmina un “movimiento global para llamar la atención sobre las consecuencias catastróficas de cualquier uso de armas nucleares”, expresó António Guterres, secretario general de esta instancia internacional en un comunicado a través de su portavoz.
