La Habana, 27 oct (ACN) Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez, presidente de la República, asiste hoy a la reunión previa al V Periodo Ordinario de Sesiones de la Novena Legislatura de la Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular (ANPP), que tendrá lugar este 28 de octubre.
La segunda cita de trabajo de los parlamentarios acontece en el Palacio de las Convenciones de La Habana en presencia, además, del Primer Ministro Manuel Marrero, del vicepresidente de la República Salvador Valdés Mesa, así como de Esteban Lazo Hernández, presidente de la ANPP.
Los diputados de la capital y otros electos por otras provincias que residen en la ciudad, así como el Consejo de Estado en pleno, están presentes en la sede, mientras el resto de parlamentarios del país acceden al encuentro de manera virtual, debido a las restricciones sanitarias y de movimiento impuestas a causa por la pandemia de la COVID-19.
En esta jornada los diputados abordarán temas relevantes para Cuba, tales como el enfrentamiento a la pandemia, a cargo de José Ángel Portal Miranda, ministro de Salud Pública, y la Estrategia de desarrollo económico y social, en particular de la Tarea Ordenamiento.
